Babushka Lena is a real live babushka living in Houston, TX. She immigrated from Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, in 1992 with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. These recipes have been collected over her 80+ years of cooking. They have been translated from Russian with minimal editing to ensure authenticity, however exactly replicating that babushka magic is nearly impossible.
