Suhariki or Mandle Bread (Leah Solomonovna’s recipe)

Ingredients
– 3 eggs
– 1 cup sugar
– 100g butter (or 1/3 cup vegetable oil)
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 tablespoon vinegar

1. Dissolve baking soda in vinegar
2. Add remaining ingredients and combine to make dough
3. Add flour as needed
4. Add raisins, nuts, etc
5. Butter baking sheet or cover with wax paper
6. Roll dough into snake the full length of the baking sheet
7. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 375-400
8. While still hot, cut the snakes into oval pieces and lay flat
9. Bake 5-7 minutes at 300-325
10. Dust with cinnamon and sugar, if desired
