Ingredients
– 1 packet yeast
– 1/2 liter milk, warm
– 1 egg
– 200 grams butter or margarine
– 1 teaspoon salt
– Flour, as needed
– 4 apples, cored and sliced in half
– 1 cup sugar
Dough Directions
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk
2. Mix in egg, melted butter, and salt
3. Add flour and knead into dough
4. Continue adding flour until dough stops sticking to hands
5. Place in refrigerator for 24 hours
6. Divide the dough into 6-8 parts
7. Roll out each piece
8. Fill the cored apple halves with streusel (see instructions below)
9. Place an apple half face down on each piece of rolled out dough
10. Fold the dough to cover the apples
11. Sprinkle the top with streusel
12. Bake on high heat for 20 mins
Streusel Directions
1. Combine a cup of sugar and a cup of flour
2. Grate 100g of butter on cheese grater
3. Rub the butter into the sugar and flour
4. Place in refrigerator to cool
