Limonik (Vilner’s recipe)

Ingredients
– 1 egg
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 can condensed milk
– 1 cup flour
– 1 large lemon
– 3/4 cup sugar

Dough Directions
1. Combine egg, baking soda, condensed milk, and flour
2. Lay out on a baking sheet, buttered and sprinkled with flour*
3. Bake until the bottom is golden brown

Filling Directions**
1. Grate the lemon on a large grater
2. Combine with sugar
3. Spread the filling over the baked dough
4. Immediately roll longways up into a roll
5. Place back in the oven and bake at 350 for 15 mins

Babushka’s Notes
* This works better if you line the baking sheet with wax paper before buttering and flouring
** Any sour jam can be used as a filling
